Writing Across the Curriculum

As a result of attending this workshop, faculty attendees will be able to:

• Explain to their students the research underpinning "writing-across-the-curriculum" theory.
• Design and implement a writing instruction module for their particular course that allows them to assess student learning more fully.
• Participants will learn a three-step writing process they can teach their students as well as use themselves in their own writing.
• Create effective writing assignments for their courses and effective evaluation tools with which to grade them.
